Join us for a 1 LU/HSW CEU, followed by a 30-minute conversation with three sustainability professionals.

As environmental uncertainty, climate-related events, and sustainability challenges continue to evolve, design and architectural professionals face growing pressure to create healthier, more resilient spaces while balancing limited resources, complex requirements, and rising expectations.   

This course explores how eco-anxiety, climate concern, occupant well-being, and sustainability intersect as "wicked problems" with no single solution. Through the lenses of psychology, human-centered design philosophies, and evidence-based design practices, attendees will examine how these challenges influence both occupants and the professionals responsible for shaping the built environment.   

Participants will review a range of frameworks, systems-thinking approaches, and sustainability "cheat codes" that influence today's design decisions. Rather than focusing  on a single solution, the course highlights the relationships and interconnectedness among these tools and strategies, helping attendees navigate complexity and make more informed, holistic decisions that support well-being, resilient communities, and improved occupant outcomes in an increasingly complex world.
