The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) publishes a list of registered “List N” disinfectants that meet their criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. Koroseal has tested a wide range of our products with numerous EPA listed disinfectants.

Disinfecting Koroseal Products with Bleach Solution

The following Koroseal branded products can be disinfected with bleach solutions as outlined in the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Guidelines without any color fading or damage to the product.

CDC Bleach Disinfection Recommendations

• If the surface is dirty, clean using a detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection
• Follow bleach manufacturer's instructions for application
• Ensure a contact time of at least 1 minute
• Allow proper ventilation during and after application
• Make sure bleach is not past its expiration date
• Unexpired household bleach will be effective against coronaviruses when properly diluted
• Never mix household bleach with ammonia or any other cleanser

Prepare the bleach solution by mixing:

• 5 tablespoons (1/3 cup) bleach per gallon of water or
• 4 teaspoons of bleach per quart of water
