Design Contest: Meet Our Calling All Creators Finalists!

Design Contest Header Image

Koroseal's 2025 Calling All Creators design contest asked Creators from around the world to share their new and inspiring ideas for a digital wallcovering.

After reviewing over 80 amazing entries, the judging panel - consisting of team members from Koroseal's design, marketing, and sales teams - has selected three finalists for this year's contest. We are thrilled to share with you the three selected Creators and their beautiful designs.

Mary A. Gilmore

Campo Architecture & Interior Design | Partner & Director of Interior Design | New Orleans, LA

Mary Gilmore's AI-inspired design pattern

Behind the Design:

This graphic pattern is inspired and created by artificial intelligence, reflecting a narrative around the complexities and nuances of weaving technology into our lives. Utilizing neutral colors, it creates a sophisticated and calming atmosphere. Intricate geometric shapes and interlocking forms symbolize the interconnectedness of data and information in the digital age, illustrating how technology processes and connects vast amounts of data to create coherent systems. The repetition in the pattern reinforces the ideas of continuity and evolution, as artificial intelligence is not static, but continually evolving.

Overall, the stylish pattern subtly hints at the duality of artificial intelligence, a visual metaphor for the relationship between humanity and technology. While it represents innovation and progress, the design also encourages reflection on how AI impacts our lives, inviting viewers to contemplate their own connections to technology.

Bridgette Grzesik

Flad Architects | Senior Graphic Designer | Madison, WI

Bridgette Grzesik's musculoskeletal-inspired pattern Bridgette Grzesik's design implementation in healthcare setting

Behind the Design:

This design is inspired by the body's musculoskeletal system; which supports, stabilizes, and moves our bodies through an interconnected network of joints, bones, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, and muscles. Lee Health (LH) is developing a program of excellence with a vision of becoming the regional and national destination for preventing, treating, and rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries and disorders. This design was created for LH with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, state-of-the-art technology, and high-value patient care, while also correlating to LH's musculoskeletal services which include orthopedics, spine, arthritis, and sports medicine.

Terrea Gilbert

Interior Design Associates | Senior Project Designer | Nashville, TN

Terrea Gilbert's Kintsugi-inspired design

Behind the Design:

The design is inspired by Kintsugi, the unique Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold. In Kintsugi, creators are encouraged to emphasize the beauty of imperfections. Rather than hiding cracks and creases, the therapeutic art of Kintsugi highlights them, creating elegance out of broken pieces. The concept of Kintsugi values true transformation, guiding participants through the process of mending ceramics, while exploring and celebrating the history of the objects being worked on. The cracks repaired in Kintsugi represent the object's journey. Like the Japanese practice, this renewed interior design celebrates imperfections and life's journeys in a new found light.

Voting is open July 30 - August 8

We received so many inspiring designs, we wanted to also share another one of our favorites.

Elise Malkawski's Catching Rays design

Elise Malkawski, Interior Designer

SPACE, INC | Savannah, Georgia

Design Inspiration: Titled "Catching Rays", this design draws inspiration from the dappled sunlight filtering through leaves. The overlapping translucent circles and textured gradients evoke the shifting patterns of light and shadow seen in nature, capturing a fleeting moment of warmth and quiet energy. The warm orange and green hues mimic the play of sunbeams on foliage, creating an atmosphere that feels both vibrant and meditative—like basking in the glow of a late afternoon sun.

Thanks to all the Creators who participated and shared their beautiful designs with us! Whether you are a seasoned interior designer, a side-hustle artist, or a crafting enthusiast, your creativity makes our world more beautiful, everyday!
