NeoCon is an annual event for the commercial design industry, creating a cumulation of design professionals from around the world. Designers, architects, end-users, manufacturers, dealers, educators, students, and media attend to collaborate, learn, and explore the latest in our industry.
This year's conference theme was "Design Ahead", which appropriately set the stage for three days of attendees sharing innovative designs, forward-thinking, and new inspiration. The showroom floor was visited by more than 50,000 fellow design professionals, and contained thousands of cutting-edge new products from both well-established business leaders and emerging new companies. The Koroseal designers that attended the show not only had an amazing and fulfilling design experience, but also garnered some great insights to share.
As the design community observed all NeoCon 2025 had to offer, our team was particularly re-energized by the innovative articulations of key trends. Let's take a look at how some notable trends came to life at the show!
Show exhibits prioritized emotional well-being and inclusivity, reflective of current human passion points. We saw designers leverage aesthetic principles in ways that created accommodating and supportive spaces. This trend is particularly relevant for both the Corporate and Education sectors, as both groups seek to create inclusive environments for diverse employee, customer, and student needs.
Acoustic solutions really stole the show this year! They were omnipresent across vendor booths and showrooms, displaying an array of shapes and textures. From debossed and molded materials, to marble and wood prints, attendees were able to see first-hand how acoustical accommodations could be incorporated into virtually any space.
We loved the various color palettes used at NeoCon! The floor was graced with engaging blues, ranging from deep and royal, to dusty and muted hues. Blues were essentially everywhere; however, green was not featured as often as expected.
Warm rusty oranges and reddish browns brought a warmth to exhibits, while purples and reds created a deep richness.
One of our favorite color trends was the utilization of happy, warm, color groupings (like oranges, yellows, and reds). Designers used the groups to add pops of color into neutral settings; or sometimes the color groups stood alone, working cohesively as a statement within a single space.
The trend of pulling nature into indoor spaces has continued to grow. Many showrooms had faux greenery incorporated into their design scenes, with some even placing frames around the foliage as artwork. Other displays included natural elements within furniture, accessories, or building materials.
Florals were very popular, showcased in prints mirroring watercolor paintings, floral folk art, and Asian-inspired designs. Plaids, stripes, and toiles were also used to create strikingly beautiful patterns.
The most popular, though, seemed to be geometric-based patterns, featuring lots of mod geos in both new and familiar applications. Other simple nods to geometric shapes included the roundness of furniture silhouettes.
At NeoCon, many designs reflected the convergence of work, home, education, hospitality, and retail. Modularity was key. There were also many work pod solutions, leveraged within enclosed spaces.
Interior designers are increasingly converging ideas across sectors, combining elements that allow a space to have multiple functions.
Although sustainability has been a trending focus for some time, the rise of circular design emphasized the use of low-impact materials, transparency, and intelligent applications. Throughout the show, we saw technology enhancements - combining environmental responsibility, wellness, and innovation.
Rather than utilizing large pieces of real wood, many displays showcased wood finishes on furniture, leveraging new materials, or pieces of wood color-blocked with marble or stone.
Another component of environmental consciousness is creating products that will last - minimizing waste, and supporting high functioning designs. Designs displayed a strong correlation to wellness; not just in the look and ambiance of the space, but also in the construction and materials used. NeoCon designers showed a clear preference for long-lasting, health-conscious materials, touting messages of sustainability, recycling, or nods to environmentally friendly components.
Stylish elements that also provide functional benefits - like weather resistance or antimicrobial surfaces - supported the human desire for resilient spaces. After all, we want our beautiful creations to last!
As Koroseal designers, one of our favorite things to think about is how Koroseal products are able to help not only bring these trends to life, but also fulfill your aesthetic vision - without limitations!
Our extensive design offerings, as well as custom digital capabilities, provide options in virtually any color palette or pattern trend our customers are craving. However, in addition, we have product solutions that perfectly pair with the latest design trends. Below are a few of our favorite Koroseal products that resonate with insights from NeoCon 2025.
Sensory design is dependent on our ability to create deeper connections between people and their environment. Beautifully crafted spaces also need to be comfortable and inviting, and often can benefit from acoustical solutions to help prevent a loud, overbearing atmosphere.
Koroseal offers an extensive sound solution portfolio, including wall, ceiling, and divider applications that are both beautiful and effective - enhancing the acoustics in any high-noise environment.
Modular wall systems allow you to more easily transform your corporate space, providing ultimate flexibility. Addressing both the need for adaptable and sustainable wall solutions, Koroseal and American Architectural Products Group (AAPG) have partnered to create modular wall panel systems that seamlessly blend beauty, durability, modular flexibility, and enhanced acoustical performance.
These wall systems are engineered to be quieter, more durable, and easier to install and maintain - all while providing exceptional beauty. Leverage these panels to create a space that you can easily modify to accommodate various needs.
One of Koroseal's many innovative material products is our Intertwine textile wallcovering, featuring Seaqual yarns. Not only is the wallcovering uniquely beautiful, but it is a product you can feel good about using.
The Seaqual yarn used is an output of the Sequal initiative - a program that works with NGOs, fishermen, authorities, and local communities to help clean our oceans. Marine litter from our beaches, oceans, rivers, and estuaries, is collected by clean-up programs; sorted into different material types; and then the plastic portion is cleaned and transformed into Seaqual™ Marine Plastic, which is used to create this innovative wallcovering. By choosing a product containing Seaqual marine plastic, you are also helping preserve our oceans!
We offer an extensive collection of performance wallcoverings, providing not only beautiful design options, but trusted durability. These options are easy to clean, disinfect, and install; not to mention, stunning.
Eight of our protective wallcovering solutions are also PVC-Free and Class A Certified - meaning, these solutions provide the durability, tear resistance, and cleanability that designers are looking for, without the health concerns of standard vinyl.
Many performance products can also utilize our digital printing capabilities, allowing designers ultimate flexibility to print mission statements, branded graphics, or other custom looks.
