Boutique Design New York, commonly known as BDNY is an annual conglomerate of creativity and curation, inspiring the hotel design industry and beyond. This conference is an event that the Koroseal team looks forward to attending each year. Taking place in the heart of New York City, BDNY brings together all facets of our industry, including designers, architects, purchasing agents, hoteliers, owners, and innovative interior design manufacturers. BDNY offers hospitality visionaries and creators a common space to collaborate, learn, and inspire like no other!
This year, Koroseal not only attended the show, but was also an exhibitor - allowing us to provide show attendees first-hand experiences with our designs, expertise, and products. We thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to connect one-on-one with attendees, share the latest from Koroseal, and revel in our mutual love for creating.

Koroseal and Arte’s passion for creating bleeds into everything we do - and what better event for us to celebrate, and fuel fellow creators, than BDNY? Together, Koroseal and Arte crafted an unforgettable booth space, featuring our exclusive Color Story Experience.
Color elicits emotion. It can dictate the ambiance of a space, or reshapes how someone perceives a design. It’s also particularly fun to play with! To help our fellow creators explore color palettes representative to their unique styles, participating attendees received a 10-minute complimentary color consultation with a professional color analyst. During the consultation, a color expert identified one of four unique, seasonal, color palettes to best represent the individual’s own color story. Participants were identified into color groupings inspired by the seasons - Bloom (spring), Breeze (summer), Harvest (autumn) and Frost (winter). The colors revealed from the selected color palette could be used as inspiration for both personal style, and for creating newly designed spaces.
Over 130 creators uncovered their own Color Stories while visiting the Koroseal + Arte booth this year. We met with attendees of all style types, resulting in a diverse Color Story reveal - 28.33% Bloom, 17.5% Breeze, 30% Harvest, and 24.2% Frost .

Throughout BDNY, our team witnessed beautiful inspiration - from masterful designs, and innovative products, to collaborative educational sessions. Here are a few highlights from the show.
Design Styles
This year’s show hosted a blend of Hollywood glamour and natural, sustainable elements to create luxurious, yet comfortable spaces. Consistent features included curved, sculptural lines; plush fabrics; and mixed materials (including wood, tile, and metal) with Art Deco, Art Nouveau, refined Bohemian, and 1970s influences.
Indoor and outdoor design elements merged throughout booth designs to create an organic feel and soft flow. Also, sustainable materials and a strong focus on craftsmanship truly allowed materials to shine. The inclusion of organic, biophilic motifs, as well as nature living walls provided a fresh, natural feel.
Linear design elements were featured in both channeled and fringed furniture, ribbed and tamboured tile, wood grains, and sculptural columns. The emphasis on bold geometry, linear details, and maximalist pattern mixing elicited an eclectic but refined look.
As we each seek to create beautiful and functional spaces, many new products featured were the cumulation of strong product partnerships, working together to create pieces that offer both function and style (like our new architectural panels!).
Patterns & Materials
Today’s design trends continue to emphasize a strong return to natural materials and organic forms. At BDNY, wood - particularly in new silhouettes and rich, warm tones - was most dominantly used, often enhanced with burled accents. Complementary materials such as cork, stone, brick, rattan, and bamboo further reinforced a connection to nature, alongside natural woven textures.
Artistic and expressive surfaces featured bold mosaic patterns, panoramic scenic murals, and refined marbling techniques. The use of these elements contributed to a strong sense of craftsmanship and visual storytelling within the featured spaces.
Geometric structures continued to play a key role through plaids, grids, checkerboard flooring, and clean awning stripes; as well as concentric linear motifs that appeared in both curved and angular forms.
Textiles emphasized depth and tactility, featuring ribbed and channeled velvets, mixed nubby yarns, and fringed woven fabrics. These elements added layers of texture and warmth. Organic inspiration was also manifested in mushroom-like contours, and subtle references to winged insects, all contributing to a harmonious balance between the natural and the artistic.
Color
Throughout the experience, colors showcased a rich blend of warm, nature-inspired tones, balanced by sophisticated neutrals. Chocolate browns, sometimes deepened with hints of plum, anchored the palette, alongside warm neutrals in fall-hues of caramel and honey.
Red tones—ranging from oxblood and crimson, to softer salmon—added depth and vibrancy; while earthy terracotta shades continued to be widely used.
Greens drawn from nature, including olive, moss, and mint, provided a grounded and refreshing
presence.
Jewel tones such as emerald green, ochre yellow, mauve, plum, and teal were used to introduce a touch of luxury and boldness. Blues, however, appeared in midtone with bright and airy variations. These blues complemented the softer stony mixes of beige and gray.
Finishing details featured brass in a variety of warm shades, adding a richness and warmth to create more comforting spaces.
Some Design Team Favorites
Co-creation is a great strategy for brands to offer unique solutions, fulfilling style and function. One of our favorites was the Juniper + HBF soft seating, featuring an attached side table and decorative outlet.

Material and design partnerships can elicit beautiful works of art. We loved the collaboration of tile companies supporting mosaic artists with diverse colors and textures.

Tucci created stylish outdoor seating with Hollywood-inspired umbrellas, colorful prints, and scalloped details. A space we loved to enjoy.

Clodagh’s collaboration with America Tin Ceilings, featured legendary brass and bronze designs.
