Designer Report: 2025 Trend Forecast

As we move into 2025, the Koroseal team is excited for all of the new products, designs, and trends we will be utilizing as we help customers lift their visions off of paper (or screens) and into reality! This year, our design experts have identified an overarching theme supporting the trends we expect to take form throughout 2025. Our 2025 Interwoven Identities Trend Forecast explores the art of harmonizing opposites, built upon the concept of balancing contrasts.

Behind the Design: Social Drivers

Each year, our expert Design Team invests their time in researching shifts in fashion, beauty, art, architecture, travel, technology, demographics, culture, and interior design, to help build forecasted trends for the next year. In 2024, the team conducted research traveling to new destinations; attending trade shows and design share events alongside industry partners; and reviewing insights from various sources such as customer feedback, professional subscription materials, and sales team insights from the field.

After compiling their findings, our Design Team identified 3 main drivers of 2025 design trends:

1. Digital Well Being: Today, there is a duality between humans and AI. As humans crave connection, we search for how to best integrate technology into our lives in a beneficial way - we may be looking to enhance our mental and physical health, foster healthy relationships, or find ways to ensure our digital lives are positive and productive.

2. Anxiety Epidemic: Anxiety has spilled into all aspects of our lives, from the environment to economic uncertainties. As a result, everyone is feeling more uneasy and experiencing decision fatigue. Humans are adapting, uncovering new ways to deal with their anxiety through various forms of escapism and building community connections.

3. Seeking Authenticity: People value trust and reliability, and in today's uncertain world, authenticity is key. Consumers, especially Gen Z, desire brands that are genuine, transparent, and consistent. Authenticity is becoming increasingly valued and something individuals strive to represent, through self-expression, improved communications, and increased creativity. Today, we are refocused on being our true selves, prioritizing happiness and nostalgia; and surrounding ourselves with people who share similar values.
