Yumilka Soto Interior Designer | Visual Studio Plus | Arvada, Colorado
Behind the Design:
The Nordic Nomad was inspired by the concept of a “Scandinavian Summer Love,” sketched through the lens of Yumika’s Dominican roots. It represents the inter-cultural romance of a Caribbean soul navigating the quiet, minimalist beauty of the North. By merging the heavy, traditional silhouettes of her Dominican heritage with the fine line botanicals of a Nordic summer, Yumilka created what she refers to as a “Tropical Noir” aesthetic. The design is a tribute to the traveler who carries her own sun into the coldest landscapes, offering a sophisticated narrative backdrop for modern hospitality spaces.
About the Creator:
Yumilka Olivi Soto is a Dominican-born interior designer and surface artist based in Denver, Colorado, and founder of Visual Studio Plus Interior Design. From an early age, her eye for pattern, texture, and cultural storytelling set her apart. She has spent over a decade translating history and mythology into bold, immersive spaces across Orlando and Denver. Growing up in the Dominican Republic, she developed a deep connection to color, pattern, and the warmth her island is famous for, a hospitality that lives in every space she touches. That background shows up in everything she creates, whether she's designing a restaurant, a luxury residence, or a surface print. For Yumilka, walls are never just walls. They're the first thing people experience, and the last thing they forget.

Claudia Estaba GoodsellDesigner | AE Urbia | South Jordan, Utah
Behind the Design:
Stone Veil is inspired by mineral staining and the natural erosion patterns found across layered stone surfaces. The design explores vertical movement and rhythm through subtle variation, creating a soft, veiled texture that feels both organic and architectural. Neutral tones establish a calm foundation, while controlled accents introduce depth and visual interest. The result is a unique design pattern, versatile across a range of interior environments.
About the Creator:
Claudia E. Goodsell is an interior and architectural designer based in Utah, originally from Venezuela. Inspired by the natural landscapes of both regions, she is passionate about incorporating organic elements into refined, intentional design. Her work focuses on creating spaces that feel calm, grounded, and functional through a thoughtful balance of texture, simplicity, and material expression, translating natural elements into clean architectural forms. Having always been drawn to painting, she explored a hands-on process to develop the authentic texture behind Stone Veil.

Kaylee ScammanInterior Designer | I-5 Design Build | Lacey, Washington
Behind the Design:
This design was inspired by that moment when the clouds start to break and you catch those soft silver edges coming through. Kaylee was really drawn to the contrast between the heavier, darker tones and those lighter, almost glowing lines. She wanted it to feel layered and a little moody, but still calm. The sky right after a storm.
About the Creator:
Kaylee Scamman is an up-and-coming interior designer with a love for creating spaces that evoke emotion and tell a story. Early in her career, she is working toward her professional certification while gaining hands-on experience in hospitality and entertainment design at I-5 Design Build. She’s drawn to design that feels timeless but fresh, and she approaches each project with curiosity, creativity, and a desire to make spaces people actually want to spend time in. Whether she’s refining a layout or obsessing over the perfect finishing touch, Kaylee brings a mix of intention and a bit of fun to everything she does.
